What is the Techno Cosmic Celebration?
The Techno Cosmic Celebration is a revolutionary new form of interfaith, multi-cultural and intergenerational worship that welcomes the sacred into body, mind, heart and spirit. Surrounded by multi-media imagery and sounds drawn from ancient traditions as well as postmodern music, celebrants share a transformational experience through dance, prayer, song and silent reflection. The community collaborates to create this event, gathering local musicians, artists, poets, photographers, technicians, representatives from service organizations, spiritual ceremonialists and willing volunteers to bring this celebration to the larger community. It is created by community for the community.
History:
This is the third celebration co-sponsored by Common Spirit and The Naropa University School of Continuing Education. The past two events have drawn over 1,500 people from the community to a shared celebration of interconnectedness and community spirit. Together we have prayed, danced, grieved, and transformed. We have heightened the awareness of our participants to the needs of the community through local nonprofit services, initiatives and needs for support. Our drug, alcohol and tobacco-free environment promotes healthy and positive interactions for the many young people who attend.
What you can do:
The Techno Cosmic Celebrations are collaborations between artists, musicians, dancers and spiritually minded people who desire the creation of uplifting and sustainable transformation within the community and its members.
You can contribute your gifts of art, music, dance and ritual.
You can donate funds to help defray the production costs of the Techno Cosmic Celebrations. Common Spirit is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so your donations are tax deductible.
You can donate your time to helping with the set-up, breakdown on the day of the event, help to distribute promotional flyers to or you can participate in the many administrative tasks associated with creating a sacred and successful experience of participatory worship.
Future Plans:
We are planning to offer several more Techno Cosmic Celebrations in the year 2000. To accomplish this we want to hear from you regarding ideas and suggestions for themes, ways to make the experience more powerful and meaningful and shared perspectives on needs that these events might address.
To become more involved, please contact Edina Preucel at 303.666.9415, Epreucel@aol.com or Steve Rohrbach at 303.823.9303, rohrbach@rmi.net.

Listen to the sounds, the rhythm of your soul.
