Manoja Lecamwasam

System VP, Intellectual Property, Life Sciences and Device, Strategic Innovation

Manoja Ratnayake Lecamwasam, PhD, MBA provides leadership and guidance for the development of IP-related strategic and operational initiatives for CommonSpirit Health and manages a team of IP professionals who are responsible for the evaluation, protection and commercialization of CommonSpirit Health’s IP and internal innovation.

Manoja Ratnayake Lecamwasam, PhD, MBA provides leadership and guidance for the development of IP-related strategic and operational initiatives for CommonSpirit Health and manages a team of IP professionals who are responsible for the evaluation, protection and commercialization of CommonSpirit Health’s IP and internal innovation.

Dr. Lecamwasam is also responsible for the evaluation of innovative life sciences and device products and services that will be introduced into CommonSpirit Health’s divisions.

Previously, Dr Lecamwasam served as the Executive Director, Intellectual Property and Strategic Innovation for Dignity Health. She was also Dignity Health’s business lead for the establishment of the Precision Medicine Alliance (PMA), a joint venture with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), which was established to provide genomic-based decision support tools to Dignity Health’s and CHI’s community oncologists at point of care. She is currently a governance board member of the PMA.

Dr. Lecamwasam holds a PhD degree in molecular microbiology from Tufts University School of Medicine; a MBA from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ; a MSc degree in molecular biology from Northeastern University; and a MA and a BA with honors in biology from Mills College in Oakland, CA.


Christine Brocato

System VP of Strategic Innovation

Christine co-leads innovation projects related to care automation, transportation, addressing social determinants, mental health, and ambulatory care transformation. Christine is passionate about helping vulnerable and Medicaid populations receive access to patient-centered care and access to social resources that prevent health disparities.

Christine co-leads innovation projects related to care automation, transportation, addressing social determinants, mental health, and ambulatory care transformation. Christine is passionate about helping vulnerable and Medicaid populations receive access to patient-centered care and access to social resources that prevent health disparities.

She has more than 15 years of health care management experience, with leadership roles that shaped business strategy, corporate
development initiatives, and product roadmaps at Genentech, Abbott Vascular, and Kaiser Permanente. Christine is a board observer for Ascension Ventures.

Christine has an MBA from Georgetown University and a Bachelors of Science in Combined Sciences from Santa Clara University. Christine lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she advocates for closing the digital divide for Oakland’s youth as an active Board Member of TechExchange.


Sean Senn

System Director, Life Science Innovation, Intellectual Property

Sean Senn currently serves as System Director of Life Science Innovation and Intellectual Property at CommonSpirit Health.  With a strong belief in the promise of science as a means to alleviate human suffering and empower our society, Sean is passionate about getting promising technologies off of the lab bench and onto the store shelf where they can help people.

Sean Senn currently serves as System Director of Life Science Innovation and Intellectual Property at CommonSpirit Health.  With a strong belief in the promise of science as a means to alleviate human suffering and empower our society, Sean is passionate about getting promising technologies off of the lab bench and onto the store shelf where they can help people.

Sean has founded or co-founded several companies, including Immix Biopharma (Nasdaq: IMMX), a publicly traded, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that develops treatments for cancer and
other inflammation-driven diseases.  He has also founded Accelerator AIX, a firm focused on translation of early stage life science and medical device technologies for venture backed privately held companies and academic/non-profit research hospitals.  Previously, Sean practiced as a Partner and Chair of the Patent Practice at the law firm Archer Norris, as well as practiced as an intellectual property lawyer at the firms Nixon Peabody, and Davis Wright Tremaine. 

Sean is a registered patent attorney, and holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a JD from University of San Diego School of Law.  He was also a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry at Rutgers University, and holds an MSc in Molecular Biology from Montclair State University, and a BS in Biology from UC San Diego.
