Your hospital stay: When to call for help
While you are in the hospital, be sure to let your care team know if you have any new problems or if your symptoms get worse. For example:
- You have new or worse trouble speaking, arm weakness, or facial drooping.
- You have a seizure.
- You have a new or worse headache.
- You are confused and can't think clearly.
- You have new or worse lightheadedness or weakness.
- You feel like you are getting sicker.
- You have new or worse nausea or vomiting.
- You need help managing pain.
- You have a new rash.
- You fell down, or you need help to get out of bed and move around.
- You have trouble with any of the lines, tubes, or devices attached to you.
