Charmane Walton  is more than just a radiologic technologist; she's a vital part of the community, both inside and outside the walls of St. Luke's Health Emergency Center in Huntsville. With 18 years of experience in radiology, including the last six in Huntsville, Charmane brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep-seated compassion to her role.

As an X-ray and CT technologist, she plays a crucial role in the day-to-day success of the emergency department, understanding that imaging is often a key piece of the diagnostic puzzle - highlighting the importance of her expertise in diagnosing everything from coughs to abdominal pain.

However, what truly sets Charmane apart is her genuine care for her patients. She cherishes the opportunity to connect with them, understanding that everyone is facing their own challenges. She strives to be a neutral and kind listening ear, offering a hug or a prayer to those who need it.

Charmane's dedication extends beyond the hospital walls. She is deeply involved in several nonprofits in the Huntsville community, recognizing the significant need within the area. She’s also the first to help corral resources for team members in need.

Outside of work, Charmane is a dedicated and devoted mother to two grown sons - Seth and Haden - lighting up at the mention of their names.

She also  recently achieved a significant personal milestone, graduating with a Masters in Radiologic Sciences with an emphasis on teaching. She now shares her real-world experience with students in an online associate’s degree program.

Charmane's ability to connect with patients is a special skill that allows her to brighten their day. She understands that no one is excited to be in the emergency room and strives to bring a smile to their faces, offering compassion and understanding during a difficult time.
