Bariatric Surgery (Medical Weight Loss) 1 minute read

Weight Loss Lockdown | A View From The Bed Podcast

Tim shares his bariatric surgery journey at CHI St. Vincent, losing over 100 pounds, lowering blood pressure and stroke risk, and adapting to life after surgery.

Tim was always on the big side. In high school, he weighed 215 pounds, and as an adult he never really monitored what he was eating. Then one day, he looked in the mirror and did a double-take. At 295 pounds, he didn’t like what he saw or how he felt. It was time for a change.

Tim turned to bariatric surgery at CHI St. Vincent to get his life turned around. The final result was impressive: Tim lost more than 100 pounds and greatly lowered his blood pressure and his risk of stroke. But there’s more to it than just a surgical procedure. Tim had a lot of work to do after he went under the knife.

In our later podcast episode, Tim talks with us about his weight loss surgery experience at CHI St. Vincent, how he had to make changes to adapt to his new stomach capacity, and what he would do differently if he had to do it all over again.
