Ammar R Karim, DO

Dr. Karim specializes in complex orthopedic trauma cases including hip and knee reconstruction, and complex fracture care. He excels in repairing complicated upper and lower extremity orthopedic injuries. These include fractures to the pelvis and hip area, including the acetabulum, or hip socket, as well as fractures around and involving the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, foot, and ankle. He is also trained in the acute musculoskeletal management of the critically injured trauma patient, especially those needing emergent musculoskeletal care to stabilize life and limb. In addition to this, Dr. Karim is also well versed in managing the sequelae of traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, such as post-traumatic arthritis, or in cases where a bone doesn't heal properly, or in the correct alignment; which is called a nonunion, or malunion.

Trauma comes alongside a stressful situation. Dr. Karim takes pride in caring for his patients both in and out of the operating room.
