Aprajita Spencer MD

Dr. Spencer is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with breast cancer and other breast conditions. She provides comprehensive surgical expertise for conditions of the breast at her practice in Chattanooga. This specialized focus includes both malignant and benign breast diseases. Dr. Spencer earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then completed her general surgery residency at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center, followed by a distinguished fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology back at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She began practicing medicine in 2019 and is delighted to be serving the Chattanooga community. Dr. Spencer is passionate about empowering her patients through shared decision-making and providing compassionate, personalized care in a comfortable, supportive environment. Her philosophy centers on ensuring each patient feels comfortable, informed, and included in every step of their treatment, guiding them through some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives with trust and understanding. Away from work, Dr. Spencer enjoys spending time with her husband, her son, and their dog, Toby. She also finds joy in traveling, cooking, and exploring her new home in Chattanooga, including trying new restaurants with friends and family.
