Dr. Ashley Roark is a diagnostic radiologist specializing in breast imaging and interventional breast procedures. She is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Breast Care Center, Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine. She also serves as Medical Director of breast imaging at the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. Roark’s clinical interests include: breast cancer screening and detection; breast MRI; breast interventional procedures; and medical student and resident education.
Dr. Roark received a BS in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University - College Station and her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Temple, Texas. She completed an internship in internal medicine at University of Texas Medical School at Houston and her residency in Diagnostic radiology at Baylor College of Medicine. She also completed a fellowship in breast imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Dr. Roark is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Society of Breast Imaging and the Texas Radiological Society.
Dr. Roark has received the Power of Professionalism POP Award and an Early Career Faculty Award for Excellence in Patient Care. She also serves as an at-large member of the BCM Faculty Senate.
