Carolyn Cross, FNP

Carolyn Cross grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. She started her healthcare career at age 19 and has worked in various roles, from office support staff, nurse assistant, registered nurse, and nurse practitioner. Carolyn graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1998. She spent most of her RN career in women’s health and school nursing. In 2013, Carolyn became a nurse practitioner. She has been with St. Joseph since starting her NP career and provides care in family medicine and urgent care settings. Carolyn has also been a clinical instructor and lecturer at Blinn College School of Nursing. In addition, she has precepted many student nurse practitioners. She is married to a firefighter/paramedic, and they have three daughters who go to school in the Brenham community where Carolyn works. Carolyn enjoys the challenges of working in rural health and the lasting relationships she has made in the community and at her clinic.
