Carrie Mofield is a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner, board-certified and specializing in urology. She brings a compassionate and patient-centered approach to her practice, dedicated to providing comprehensive care while empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health. Carrie is committed to building long-term, trusted relationships with her patients.
Carrie began her nursing career shortly after earning her Associate of Applied Business in 1999, followed by her Bachelor of Science from Northern Kentucky University in 2010. Driven by a desire to make a deeper and more lasting impact on patient care, she pursued advanced education, earning her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty from Cedarville University in August 2019, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She also holds a Certificate in Global Public Health.
Carrie's interest in urology was ignited during her time as a urodynamics nurse with CHI Urology. This experience inspired her to specialize in this field as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), where she could continue to make a meaningful difference. She is particularly drawn to patients dealing with recurrent urinary tract infections, a condition that demands critical thinking and a personalized approach due to its complex and multifactorial nature. Serving as an American Heart Association BLS instructor, she also maintains a current certification.
Her philosophy of care is deeply rooted in meeting patients where they are, ensuring they feel truly heard and understood. Carrie approaches each person with the same care and attention she would give to a family member, always striving for them to leave feeling supported and confident in their health decisions. The most rewarding aspect of her work is witnessing patients regain confidence and improve their quality of life, knowing she played a vital role in their journey.
Outside of her professional life, Carrie finds immense joy in spending time with her granddaughter and eagerly anticipates the arrival of another grandchild. She enjoys attending baseball games and concerts, and embracing the outdoors through camping. She loves traveling with her husband to visit their daughters in Huntsville, AL, and Tampa, FL, prioritizing quality time and making memories with her family. Carrie sees the field of urology evolving with exciting advancements in medications and procedures, pushing the boundaries of effective patient care.
