Dr. Imad Abumeri is a diplomate of the American Board Of Neurological Surgery specializing in treatment of disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. He earned his medical degree with highest honors from the University Mohammed V in Morocco in 1987. His neurosurgical training began at Faculte De Medicne Paris Descartes, France, one of the most prestigious European universities for medical sciences, where he earned a Neurosurgery Diploma in 1993. He then moved to the United States and completed a two year neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Toledo in 1998. In order to become certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, he underwent a neurosurgical residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2003. Dr. Abumeri had the unique opportunity to be mentored during his training by Dr. Roberto Heros, a recognized authority in the field of cerebro-vascular and skull base surgery. He also trained with Dr. Barth Green, a leader in spine surgery and founder of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. Dr. Abumeri has vast experience ranging from brain tumors, brain aneurysm/arteriovenous malformation, facial pain, trigeminal neuralgia, to complex spine surgeries, degenerative, or traumatic, and brings over 20 years of experience to this practice. Through Dr Abumeri's extensive experience and training, he strives to provide state of the art care for all neurological diseases.
