Joseph H. Chang, M.D., board certified ophthalmologist, is a respected member of the Bakersfield community and has been practicing the most advanced techniques for plastic surgery of the eyelids, aesthetic facial rejuvenation, and cataract surgery for over fifteen years.  After graduating valedictorian from high school in Knoxville, TN, he obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, GA.  Dr. Chang then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at UCLA's esteemed Jules Stein Eye Institute.  Since then, he was invited to serve as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology, where he continues to teach the latest techniques in cataract and lens implant surgery to the resident surgeons at UCLA.  This is Dr. Chang's commitment to stay abreast of all the latest advances in eye surgery.Dr. Chang has a keen aesthetic sense and masterfully blends the technical and artistic sides of his work.   Known as The Eyelid Doc, Dr. Chang has performed several thousand eyelid surgeries and tens of thousands of injections in his career to-date.  Please browse actual patient before and afters, his results speak for themselves.  Additionally, he loves to look at any of your older photographs that you like, to help guide your treatment goals.
