Dr. Frisancho was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Both of his parents are native to Peru and he was raised speaking both English and Spanish. Although he was proud to complete college, medical school, and internship at the University of Michigan, he desired to explore beyond the Midwest. Subsequently, he completed orthopedic surgery residency in Los Angeles, California. He then supplemented his exceptional training with two fellowships in joint replacement surgery. Dr. Frisancho practices general orthopedics and has a special interest in hip and knee joint replacement surgery. He is the only surgeon in his group that is fellowship trained in joint arthroplasty. His sub-specialty focus is less invasive hip and knee replacements including the direct anterior approach for total hip arthroplasty. He is also fully trained in addressing the unique complications of joint arthroplasty. In his practice he combines progressive techniques with proven traditional methods to provide his patients with exceptional orthopedic care.
