Kaila Wechsler, DO

Dr. Kaila Wechsler, DO, is an Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine physician at CommonSpirit Internal Medicine St. Anthony North. She believes medicine and health are a team sport, and that collaboration ensures the best possible outcomes. With this in mind, she is passionate about patient education and utilizing evidence-based medicine as a means to support each patient’s unique health goals and needs. Dr. Wechsler earned her bachelor's in Health Sciences from Drake University. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, completed her Internal Medicine residency at Allegheny Health Consortium, and a Sports Medicine fellowship also at Allegheny Health Consortium. Her fellowship training included working as a member of the medical staff for the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Riverhounds professional soccer team, and The Harlequins rugby team. She also acted as medical staff for multiple Pittsburgh Special Olympics events, including the Pennsylvania Winter Games and the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association junior golf championships. She supported high school teams for sports physicals, football, wrestling, and baseball. Outside of work, Dr. Wechsler loves to ski, hike, play tennis, read, bake, explore new foods, travel, and spend time enjoying her family.
