Lacy J. Stephens, CCC-SLP, is a certified speech pathologist specializing in the rehabilitation of communication and swallowing disorders in individuals with head and neck cancer. She provides comprehensive rehabilitation therapy following chemoradiation and surgical interventions, with a focus in total laryngectomy care—including alaryngeal communication using electrolaryngeal, esophageal speech, and tracheoesophageal voice restoration. Her clinical practice spans the full continuum of care, including pre-treatment counseling, acute post-operative management, and long-term survivorship support.
Lacy's professional interests include improving functional outcomes in oncologic rehabilitation through integration of evidence-based swallowing interventions, and participation in a multidisciplinary model of care in head and neck oncology. She collaborates closely with otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and cancer specialist teams to optimize patient-centered outcomes and improve quality of life.
Lacy is dedicated to advancing her professional expertise in head and neck cancer care, completing advanced training through leading institutions. She is committed to empowering patients and their families with education, individualized therapy, and compassionate support throughout their cancer journey.
Away from work, Lacy enjoys skiing, volleyball, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Juno.
