Leila Ford, MD

Leila Ford, MD, is a pediatrician at CommonSpirit Pediatrics St. Thomas More. Dr. Ford is committed to fostering strong relationships with patient families, emphasizing strategies for long-term wellbeing and supporting the body's natural healing processes. She sees well-child visits as a valuable opportunity for families and physicians to connect, gaining a deeper understanding of each family's unique health goals, challenges, and perspectives, while also sharing preventative health advice ranging from sleep hygiene to nutrition. This collaborative approach ensures more personalized and effective care, helping to optimize a child's health, heal sickness when it occurs, and create a more relaxed experience. Dr. Ford graduated summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, along with minors in Chemistry and Communication. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Texas before completing her pediatric residency in 2015 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to being board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Ford holds specialized certifications in pediatric massage therapy and infant massage instruction. Outside of her practice, Dr. Ford enjoys spending time at church and in prayer, casually playing the piano, and being outdoors. She finds joy in gardening, hiking, and fishing, all in the company of her husband and six beautiful children.
