Dr. Michael Chu is Certified by the American Board Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.Dr. Chu has a degree in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University and attended Chicago Medical School. He completed his residency at UC Davis Medical Center in 2008 and went on to serve as full-time clinical faculty until opening his practice in July of 2015, and currently maintains an appointment as Volunteer Clinical Faculty. In his time there, Dr. Chu performed the first robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery for the Division of General Gynecology, helping to establish the robotic surgery program in 2011 and advance minimally invasive surgery for the Department. He has performed nearly 100 robotic assisted surgeries including treatment of endometriosis, removal fibroids, and complex hysterectomy. With the retirement of Dr. Orel Knight in the spring of 2015, Dr. Chu has now partnered with Dr. Victor Chan and has opened a new office, located in Midtown on the corner of 29th and K Streets
