Dr. Quan Dang Nguyen is a radiologist specializing in breast imaging. He is Associate Professor of Radiology - Breast Imaging at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), where he is also a Co-Primary Faculty Appointment in BCM’s Department of Education, Innovation & Technology. He completed a fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Washington at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Dr. Nguyen’s clinical interests include: breast screening; diagnostics; and stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI guided biopsies. He is trained in the most up-to-date technologies in breast imaging including breast tomosynthesis and automated whole breast ultrasound. He received a B.S. in Business Administration at the University of California - Berkeley Walter A. Haas School of Business and his medical degree from the Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed an internship at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland, California and his residency at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Washington at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and received the Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award from the Radiology Society of North America which recognizes outstanding residents and fellows who've advanced radiologic research. Dr. Nguyen is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and Society of Breast Imaging. He is also a member of the UTMB Academy of Master Teachers and in 2020 received UTMB’s Outstanding Faculty Leadership Award. From 2017-2020 he held the Francis T. Kostohryz, MD Endowed Chair in Radiology. In addition to English, Dr. Nguyen speaks Vietnamese.
