Rachel Penney, ARNP

Rachel Penney, ARNP, specializes in family medicine, including pediatric and adolescent care, preventive medicine, palliative care, urgent care and women's health.

Rachel focuses on seeing her patients as individuals rather than medical conditions. She enjoys discovering what motivates them and stresses shared decision-making so that a patient's treatment plan fits positively with their goals and lifestyle. She makes a point to learn about her patients’ support networks, drawing on those relationships so patients have the encouragement and assistance they need in the clinic and at home.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Rachel was an oncology nurse. Drawing on this experience, she combines collaborative medicine and a patient's personal goals of care to develop a constructive treatment plan.

In her spare time, Rachel loves hiking, skiing, biking and anything outdoors. She also enjoys traveling and trying new foods. Having grown up in Seattle, Rachel especially appreciates the mountain views and sunny days near the water.
