Robert Marcum, MD

Dr. Robert Marcum is a board-certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physician based at CHI Memorial. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex respiratory conditions and critical illnesses, and also has expertise in sleep medicine. Dr. Marcum has been practicing medicine for over 40 years, beginning his career with 10 years of active duty in the United States Air Force. He joined CHI Memorial in August 2025 after 32 years of dedicated practice in Cleveland, TN. He focuses on providing comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary diseases and critical care needs, aiming to offer the best possible outcomes even in challenging situations. Having served in leadership roles within his practice over the years and being a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, Dr. Marcum's commitment to his field is evident. He believes prayer is a powerful part of healing and that all patients deserve his best, especially on the most trying days, trusting that inner strength will endure. Away from work, Dr. Marcum enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in church activities, and the creative pursuit of woodworking.
