I grew up in New Delhi, India and came from a family of fifty physicians and surgeons. My family history inspired me from an early age to become a physician and care for people. My wife and two children are also physicians and are committed to continue the tradition of providing compassionate care.I trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which is the premier medical schol in Asia and moved to the USA in 1976. After training in Internal Medicine, I decided to specialize in Immunology and trained at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation, and UCSD medical school in La Jolla, Californa. Initially, I did research in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus and subsequently in allergy disorders and asthma at UCLA. Additionally, I finished my clinical training at UCLA in allergic and rheumatic diseases. My educational background across the world, gives me a broader perspective of diseases in different cultures and varying modalities of disease management.Over the years, I have learned to blend the art and science of medicine and provide state of the art care on personalized basis in a warm and compassionate envionment. Patient education is a core part of my practice so that people can understand their disease and help participate in their own treatment.I have practiced in Redwood City and Sequoia Hospital for over 27 years. During these years I have successfully diagnosed and treated numerous complex and intractable cases. Ihave been the director of Medical Education at Sequois Hospital for over a decade.
