Vishal Dhere, MD

Dr. Vishal Dhere, MD, is a radiation oncologist at CommonSpirit Radiation Oncology St. Anthony and CommonSpirit Radiation Oncology St. Anthony North. He is deeply committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care and takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and goals. “My goal is to personalize cancer treatment for every patient — maximizing cure while preserving quality of life, dignity, and peace of mind throughout the process," he says. Dr. Dhere earned his Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude from the University of Denver, majoring in Molecular Biology with minors in Physics in Medical Imaging and Chemistry. He received his Medical Degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he was selected as a Department of Radiation Oncology Medical Student Scholar. He completed his internal medicine internship and radiation oncology residency at Emory University School of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Dhere is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology and has more than 50 publications featured in journals such as The Lancet, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Nature Immunology, and Cell Reports. A Colorado native, Dr. Dhere grew up in Lakewood. He enjoys running, tennis, skiing, cooking, and spending time with his family, including his two children, dog, and two cats.
