CHATTANOOGA, TN (July 24, 2025) – CHI Memorial is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Sloan as vice president of strategy, effective July 21, 2025. In this role, Sloan will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that advance CHI Memorial's mission of providing exceptional health care services to the Chattanooga region. She will work closely with leadership, physicians, and staff to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improved patient outcomes.
Sloan brings a wealth of experience in health care strategy and operations to CHI Memorial. Most recently, she served as director of population health & clinical analytics at Health First Health Plan, where she led analytical initiatives impacting more than 100,000 members and improved quality ratings through data-driven strategy implementations. Her strategic leadership also resulted in streamlined clinical analytics workflows, reducing report turnaround times by 25% and cutting operational costs by 30% through optimized staff allocation and minimized redundant processes. In other roles, she oversaw population health strategies for one of the nation's top-performing Medicare ACOs and achieved more than $111 million in cost reductions and exceptional quality scores. She also identified $15 million in cost-saving opportunities through clinical data and operational analysis, successfully implementing strategic measures that generated $17 million in annual savings. She designed a bundled payment program that increased advanced care planning compliance by over 200% within two months, leading to cost savings and improved patient satisfaction.
