Saint Joseph Medical Group Welcomes New Physician to Team

Sara Darmadji brings nearly two decades of experience to the Winchester area
Sara Darmadji

Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care in Winchester welcomes Sara Darmadji, MSN, FNP-BC, to the team. Darmadji is a family nurse practitioner with 14 years of experience as an inpatient registered nurse. Originally from Illinois, Darmadji is a generational nurse who is excited to now call Kentucky home.

“My mom and great aunt are nurses, but growing up, I didn’t think it would be a path I would follow,” said Darmadji. “But after I had a family, it felt natural for me because I have a desire to help others.”

With a passion for caring for patients of all ages and addressing a wide range of health concerns, Darmadji pursued a career as a family nurse practitioner. Combining a foundation in science with a deep understanding of nursing, she says she approaches medicine like a detective – working to uncover the root causes of patients’ ailments. Darmadji’s patient care philosophy is centered around communication and inclusivity.

“My approach to medicine is about meeting patients where they are and working together to find the best path forward,” said Darmadji. “I can provide recommendations, but real change happens when patients feel heard and supported in making decisions that work for them. If they’re not ready, they’re not going to follow through, so let’s talk, find common ground, and create a plan that fits. That’s one of the reasons I love working in Winchester. The diversity of patients, from all backgrounds and walks of life, makes every interaction unique and rewarding.”

Darmadji received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives, Sigma Theta Tau, and Phi Kappa Phi. She is an active volunteer of GreenHouse17 in Lexington.

Darmadji is married and has three children. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading, cooking, baking and building hobby houses.

Darmadji is practicing at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care, Winchester, located at 1850 Bypass Road. To make an appointment, call 859.744.5111
