CommonSpirit Patient Portal FAQs

What is the CommonSpirit Patient Portal?

The CommonSpirit Patient Portal is our new, secure online tool that lets you take charge of your health — anytime, anywhere. You can view test results, message your care team, pay bills and more. You can access the portal from your computer or download the CommonSpirit App on your phone from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).

Why is St. Luke’s Health making this change?

We know the health care environment is complicated - but your experience with your health information doesn't have to be. This new tool is designed to simplify and improve your experience through one single, secure destination to manage your health online. This new platform is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, making it easier than ever to view test results, communicate with your care team and more.

Do I need to create a new account?

No. Patients with an existing MyChart account will use the same username and password when logging into the new patient portal. There’s no need to set up a new account. If this is your first time using our portal, access the Patient Portal here and click “Sign Up Now” to create an account. The CommonSpirit Patient Portal will guide you through the process of setting up your username and password.

What does this mean for my medical records and health information?

Your recent medical history, records and messages with St. Luke’s Health have been securely transferred to the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal.

What can I do in the new portal?

You can:

  • Schedule and manage appointments with your established providers
  • Complete pre-check-in tasks
  • View your recent medical records and test results
  • Communicate securely with your care team
  • Request prescription refills
  • Pay your bills online
  • Access your After-Visit Summary (AVS)
  • Complete post-visit questionnaires

Is the portal safe and secure?

Yes. We take your privacy very seriously. The CommonSpirit Patient Portal uses industry-standard technology and security measures to protect your personal health information. Only you and your authorized caregivers can access your account, and all data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access.

Why does the portal look different?

We’ve refreshed the design to reflect the CommonSpirit branding, with updated colors and logos. It’s still the same trusted tool, just with a cleaner look and enhanced experience.

Where can I download the mobile app?

You can download the CommonSpirit App for free from the App Store (for iPhone) or on Google Play (for Android). Search for “CommonSpirit – GA/KY/TN/TX ” to find the app quickly.

Will my provider or care team change?

No. Your care team remains the same St. Luke’s Health care team you know and trust. The new portal is simply a better way to stay connected with them.

Try the following:

  • Double-check your username and password

  • Click “Forgot Password?” to reset your login

Can I continue using the standard MyChart app?

Why am I receiving messages and notifications from CommonSpirit Health?

To ensure a unified experience across all of your care, the new patient portal will reflect the CommonSpirit brand. This means some of your messages and notifications, such as important reminders and test results, may now come from CommonSpirit. Rest assured, these messages are from the same physicians and caregivers you’ve always relied on.

What if I don't have a computer or smartphone, or I'm not comfortable using technology?

We understand that not everyone has access to technology or feels comfortable using it. You can still access your health information and manage your care by contacting your provider's office directly. You can request a printed copy of your AVS (After-Visit Summary) and complete any necessary questionnaires over the phone. We are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the care they need, regardless of their technological abilities and preferences.
