What is changing in how I manage my health information?

Later this month, CHI Saint Joseph, a member of CommonSpirit Health, is launching a new patient portal. This new tool is designed to streamline how you access your health information and manage your care with CHI Saint Joseph all in one place. 

Why is CHI Saint Joseph Health making this change?

We know the health care environment is complicated - but your experience with your health information doesn't have to be. This new tool is designed to simplify and improve your experience through one single, secure destination to manage your health online. 

How is the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal different from the MyChart portal I use today?

The new CommonSpirit Patient Portal offers the same secure, convenient access to your health information that you’re used to. The portal will have a refreshed look that reflects CHI Saint Joseph Health’s association with CommonSpirit Health.  

Will my health information from my old patient portal be transferred to the new portal?

Yes, all of your health information and records that were previously within your Saint Joseph Health patient portal will be automatically transferred to the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal on June 28.

What if I don’t currently use a CHI Saint Joseph Health patient portal? 

If you don’t currently have a CHI Saint Joseph Health patient portal account, you will be able to register for one after June 28. You can then use the portal to view test results, send messages to your provider, pay bills, and more. 

If I am using the CHI Saint Joseph Health MyChart portal today, do I need to create a new account for the new portal?

No. After June 28, you will use the same username and password you use today to log in to the CommonSpirit Patient Portal. Your health information from your hospital visits will be transferred seamlessly to the new patient portal. 

Why am I receiving messages from CommonSpirit Health?

CHI Saint Joseph Health has been a member of CommonSpirit Health since 2019. CommonSpirit is one of the nation’s largest mission-driven health care organizations. You may receive some messages and notifications from CommonSpirit. This could include check-in processes, important reminders, test results, and more. Rest assured, these messages are from the same physicians and caregivers who you have trusted with your care.

Who can I contact if I have questions or need help with the patient portal?

We’ll reach out with more details about using the new patient portal when it launches on June 28. In the meantime, you can call our dedicated support team at (844) 528-8383 if you have questions or concerns.
