What is the CommonSpirit Patient Portal?

The CommonSpirit Patient Portal is our new, secure online tool that lets you take charge of your health — anytime, anywhere. You can view test results, message your care team, pay bills and more. You can access the portal from your computer or download the CommonSpirit App on your phone from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).

Why is St. Luke’s Health making this change?

We know the health care environment is complicated - but your experience with your health information doesn't have to be. This new tool is designed to simplify and improve your experience through one single, secure destination to manage your health online. This new platform is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, making it easier than ever to view test results, communicate with your care team and more.

Do I need to create a new account?

No. Patients with an existing MyChart account will use the same username and password when logging into the new patient portal. There’s no need to set up a new account. If this is your first time using our portal, access the Patient Portal here and click “Sign Up Now” to create an account. The CommonSpirit Patient Portal will guide you through the process of setting up your username and password.

What does this mean for my medical records and health information?

Your recent medical history, records and messages with St. Luke’s Health have been securely transferred to the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal. 

What can I do in the new portal?

You can:

  • Schedule and manage appointments with your established providers 

  • Complete pre-check-in tasks

  • View your recent medical records and test results

  • Communicate securely with your care team

  • Request prescription refills

  • Pay your bills online

  • Access your After-Visit Summary (AVS)

  • Complete post-visit questionnaires

Is the portal safe and secure?

Yes. We take your privacy very seriously. The CommonSpirit Patient Portal uses industry-standard technology and security measures to protect your personal health information. Only you and your authorized caregivers can access your account, and all data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access. 

Why does the portal look different?

We’ve refreshed the design to reflect the CommonSpirit branding, with updated colors and logos. It’s still the same trusted tool, just with a cleaner look and enhanced experience.

Where can I download the mobile app?

You can download the CommonSpirit App for free from the App Store (for iPhone) or on Google Play (for Android). Search for “CommonSpirit – GA/KY/TN/TX ” to find the app quickly.

Will my provider or care team change?

No. Your care team remains the same St. Luke’s Health care team you know and trust. The new portal is simply a better way to stay connected with them.

I’m having trouble logging in. What should I do?

Try the following:

  • Double-check your username and password

  • Click “Forgot Password?” to reset your login

  • Contact our support team if you’re still having trouble

Can I continue using the standard MyChart app? 

Yes. However, for a more seamless experience, we recommend you remove the older app and install the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal Mobile App. 

How do I uninstall previous patient portal apps?

To remove on iPhone:

  • Find the MyChart icon on your home screen

  • Tap and hold the app icon until a menu appears

  • Select Remove App

  • Tap Delete App to confirm.

To remove on Android: 

  • Open your app drawer and locate MyChart

  • Tap and hold the app icon

  • Drag it to the Uninstall option that appears or tap Uninstall in the menu

  • Confirm the uninstallation

Why am I receiving messages and notifications from CommonSpirit Health?

To ensure a unified experience across all of your care, the new patient portal will reflect the CommonSpirit brand. This means some of your messages and notifications, such as important reminders and test results, may now come from CommonSpirit. Rest assured, these messages are from the same physicians and caregivers you’ve always relied on.

What if I don't have a computer or smartphone, or I'm not comfortable using technology?

We understand that not everyone has access to technology or feels comfortable using it. You can still access your health information and manage your care by contacting your provider's office directly. You can request a printed copy of your AVS (After-Visit Summary) and complete any necessary questionnaires over the phone. We are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the care they need, regardless of their technological abilities and preferences.

On November 1, we're introducing a new patient portal and mobile app to streamline how you access your health information and manage your care with St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group. 

The patient portal will offer secure, convenient access to your health information with a refreshed look that reflects St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group’s association with CommonSpirit Health. 

Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible for you. Your health information and records will automatically transfer to the CommonSpirit Patient Portal.

What is changing in how I manage my health information?

Starting November 1, St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group, a member of CommonSpirit Health, are moving to a new patient portal and app. This tool is designed to streamline how you access your health information and manage your care with St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group all in one place. Once available, you’ll be able to access the CommonSpirit Patient Portal through our website at https://mycw7.eclinicalweb.com/wnhc/jsp/100mp/login_otp.jsp or by downloading our new mobile app. 

Why is St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group making this change?

What does this mean for my medical records and health information?

We are committed to ensuring you have continued access to your health information as we make this transition on November 1. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Your health information from St. Luke' s Health Patients Medical Center (PMC) and Brazosport hospital visits or hospital stays will automatically transition to the CommonSpirit Patient Portal when it becomes available on November 1. Your previous portal will still be available for access after this date.

  • Your health information from St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group doctor’s offices and clinic visits will be available in the CommonSpirit Patient Portal after signing up on or after November 1. In the meantime, your doctor still has full access to your records, and you can call the doctor’s office for help managing appointments, test results or other questions.  

What if I don’t currently use a St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group Patient Portal? 

If you don’t currently have a St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group Patient Portal account, we encourage you to sign up for the CommonSpirit Patient Portal and Mobile App. after November 1. Our new patient portal provides a convenient, secure way for you to manage your health, either online at https://patientportalsouth.commonspirit.org/PRD or through our mobile app. You’ll be able to use the portal to view test results, send messages to your provider, pay bills and more.

How do I sign up for the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal?

On November 1, we’ll send you a message to guide you through activating your patient portal account and downloading the CommonSpirit Mobile App. Your St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group care team can also assist you with activating the new portal during your next appointment.  

What if I don't have a computer or smartphone, or I'm not comfortable using technology?

We understand that not everyone has access to technology or feels comfortable using it. You can still access your health information and manage your care by contacting your care team's office directly by phone. We are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the care and information they need, regardless of their technological preferences.

Will my health information be secure in the patient portal?

Yes, we take your privacy very seriously. The patient portal uses secure, industry-standard technology to protect your personal health information. Only you and your authorized caregivers can access your account, and all data is encrypted to prevent unauthorized access.

Who can I contact if I have questions or need help with the patient portal?

We’ll reach out with more details about using the new patient portal when it launches on November 1. In the meantime, you can call our dedicated support team at (844) 528-8383 if you have questions or concerns.

For Current eCW or other instance of Epic Portal Users

Can I still use my eCW or other instance of Epic patient portal today?

Yes. Your eCW or other instance of Epic portal is fully functional until November 1. After November 1, you will still be able to access your health information within your eCW or other instance of Epic patient portal. Tools and features within the eCW or other instance of Epic portal such as provider messaging or appointment scheduling will be disabled.

What happens to my health information in eCW or other instance of Epic portal after November 1?

After November 1, you will still be able to access health information within your current eCW or MyChart patient portal. Your recent health information will also be available through the CommonSpirit Patient Portal. We encourage you to register for a new account in the CommonSpirit Patient Portal when it becomes available on November 1. 

Will I need to set up a new account with the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal if I am new to MyChart?

Yes, after November 1, you will need to make a new account for the CommonSpirit Patient Portal. Your health information will transfer seamlessly.

How do I access my health information like appointments, prescriptions and bills after November 1?

Your past health information will continue to be available to view  in the eCW or other MyChart patient portal after November 1. After November 1, your health information will be transferred to the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal once you make a new account.

What if I need help with managing my care between November 1 and my next appointment with my provider? 

Your doctor still has full access to your records and health information. You can always call your doctor’s office for help managing appointments, test results or other questions. For prescription refills, we recommend calling your pharmacy.

For Current MyChart Users

If I am using the St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group MyChart portal today, do I need to create a new account for the new portal?

Yes. After November 1, you will need to create a new username and password for access  to the CommonSpirit Patient Portal. Your health information from your clinic and hospital visits will be transferred seamlessly to the new patient portal.

How is the new CommonSpirit Patient Portal different from the MyChart portal I use today?

The new CommonSpirit Patient Portal offers the same secure, convenient access to your health information that you’re used to. The portal will have a refreshed look that reflects St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group’s association with CommonSpirit Health, and will seamlessly transfer information from your previous MyChart instance. 

By connecting with the CommonSpirit Patient Portal, or downloading the Mobile App, you can manage your own health, anytime, anywhere. From your phone or computer, you can:

  • Manage appointments with your established providers 

  • Complete pre-check-in tasks

  • View your recent medical records and test results

  • Communicate securely with your care team

  • Request prescription refills

  • Pay your bills online

  • Access your After-Visit Summary (AVS)

  • Complete post-visit questionnaires

  • Use our expanded Find a Doctor and Find a Location functionality 

Will my health information from my St. Luke’s Health and Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Group MyChart portal be transferred to the new portal?

Yes. Your medical records will be seamlessly transferred to the  CommonSpirit Patient Portal on November 1. At that time, any new updates or messages from your doctor will appear in the new patient portal.

The information on each participating doctor is submitted to CommonSpirit Health by each doctor and is not independently verified by CommonSpirit Health. Each doctor is solely responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the information listed about him or her. CommonSpirit Health is not responsible for any loss or damages caused by your reliance on the doctor information contained on Find a Doctor. You should telephone the doctor's office in advance to verify the accuracy of the information.
