Nationwide, there has been a recent increase in scammers using the MyChart name and logo to trick patients into logging into fake portals.
The scammers use emails with enticing subject lines such as “Your MyChart Medicare Kit Awaits!” or “2026 MyChart Senior Health Package” and malicious links that lead to a fake login webpage. The webpage looks like a patient’s provider webpage but is designed to steal the patient’s portal credentials and personal data.
How to Protect Your Information:
Be wary of “free” offers. Messages that promise free gifts or health kits are often scams.
Do not click suspicious links: If you receive an unexpected email promising a Medicare kit or package, do not click on any links or download attachments.
Log in safely: Always access your patient portal securely by navigating directly to our official website or by using our official mobile app on your device.
Protect your password: Never enter your patient portal username or password on a page reached through a link in a suspicious email.
