April Henry celebrates 15 years at St. Luke’s Health-Lakeside, leading the team that ensures every surgical instrument is meticulously sterilized for patient safety.

April Henry is the dedicated Sterile Processing Supervisor at St. Luke's Health-Lakeside Hospital, a role vital to patient safety. Her department is responsible for the meticulous cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilization of surgical instruments, processing an average of 175 instrument sets daily, with some complex surgeries requiring as many as 75 sets. 

August 2025 marks her 15th anniversary at Lakeside, where she started as a Tech 1 and worked her way up the chain of command, inspired by her mother's work at the hospital.

April values the strong sense of family and camaraderie among her colleagues, including her dedicated team: Ken, Jackie, Jeffrey, CeCe, and Issac. Beyond her professional life, April is a passionate abstract artist, a devoted mother to her two adult children, Arial and Aaron, and a loving wife to her husband, Rockson. She even has her own side hustle called the "The Sauce Boss," inspired by a love of flavorful cooking.

April's commitment to excellence is a driving force in her work. She strives to do an excellent job every day, fostering a culture of excellence within her team. She believes in being a supportive and approachable leader, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, and even prayer when needed. April's success is rooted in her hard work, dedication, and adaptability. 

She lives by the Golden Rule, treating others as she would like to be treated, and aims to "show the light of Christ" through simple acts of kindness and genuine connection. 

April Henry is not just a supervisor; she is the heart of the Sterile Processing Department and a shining example of the compassion and dedication that defines the St. Luke's Health-Lakeside Hospital family.
