Shelley was in her 40’s when a routine mammogram found that she had breast cancer. Thankfully, she had caught it early enough, and her doctors were able to remove the cancer surgically and give her a clean bill of health. But the surgery required a double mastectomy, and Shelley was now faced with the decision of what to do about her new appearance.

Shelley went with breast reconstruction, a decision that helped her see herself as she did before her surgery.
