Although we are in the process of changing the name of our care sites, we have been part of CommonSpirit Health, a non-profit Catholic health system, since 2019. We remain rooted in the communities we serve, but are connected across the country.
It is important to know that this change will not affect your care, the physicians and nurses who deliver your care or the services you receive at any of our locations. Please note that you may see both the legacy brand names (e.g. CHI Saint Joseph Health in Kentucky and CHI Memorial in Tennessee and Georgia) and CommonSpirit Health on your bill and other documents or signs during our transition to the CommonSpirit name.

What is happening to the names of your hospitals and clinics?
Starting in October 2026, we will change the names of our hospitals, clinics and care sites in Texas to reflect that we are part of CommonSpirit Health.
As we work through this transition, you are likely to see both the St. Joseph Health or St. Luke’s Health and CommonSpirit names, logos and branding for a period of time on signs, forms and documents, team member uniforms and workwear, and other items. Our four hospitals will share “CommonSpirit - St. Joseph” as part of their names. Each hospital will also have its location as part of its name. Starting in October 2026, new hospital names will include:

Houston has a unique collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine that reflects the market’s distinctive approach to care, education and research. As CommonSpirit Health advances brand unification, Baylor College of Medicine will continue to be a valued clinical, academic and research collaborator. Existing collaborations with Baylor College of Medicine are not changing as a result of brand unification.
We are incorporating the Baylor College of Medicine logo alongside the CommonSpirit logo across the Houston market. This co-branding reflects our collaboration and highlights the advanced research, innovation and expertise available throughout our integrated network of care.
Why will the Baylor College of Medicine name continue at our Medical Center but not with the Medical Group?
We recognize the strong reputation and longstanding connection to the Baylor name in the Houston community, and that legacy remains important to our patients, employees and partners. The Baylor College of Medicine name will continue to be reflected at our Medical Center, where clinical care, research and education are most closely integrated through our collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine, driving groundbreaking innovation and clinical advancements for the communities we serve.
