An Ashkenazi Jewish genetic panel (AJGP) is a test that checks the DNA in a sample of blood or saliva. This is done to see if a person has genes for a group of rare diseases.
The genetic panel test can show whether a person of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage is a carrier of certain genetic diseases that are more common in this population. But no genetic test is 100% accurate. There is a small chance that you are a carrier even if the results are normal.
