Serotonin syndrome: Overview

Taking certain medicines together or with illegal drugs can cause the level of serotonin in your brain to get too high. This serious condition is called serotonin syndrome. Taking medicine for depression, pain, or migraines (or increasing the dose) can cause this. Symptoms include tremor, confusion, sweating, and fever. Treatment can help.
