Abigail Oriaku, APRN, MSN, FNP-C

Abigail Oriaku is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, committed to providing compassionate care for families in our Houston community. She specializes in family practice, urogynecology, and OBGYN care at Baylor St Luke's, where she focuses on a holistic, evidence-based approach to patient health. Abigail has been practicing nursing since 2008 and joined the Baylor St Luke's team as a Family Nurse Practitioner after receiving her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in 2012. With over 17 years of clinical nursing experience, she is dedicated to meeting the diverse healthcare needs of her patients, having practiced in public health, family practice, urogynecology, and OBGYN specialties. Abigail is passionate about helping patients achieve their physical and emotional well-being, applying a care philosophy honed through exposure to both urban and rural clinical settings. Abigail's commitment to patient care has been recognized through several awards, including the Mission Award (2015) and Meritorious Honor Award (2012) from the Department of State United States of America, Embassy Libreville, Gabon. She also received The Master of Science in Nursing Leadership Award from UTMB (2012) and The Dean’s Award and Assistant Dean’s Spirit of Nursing Award from the University of Making a direct, positive impact on her patients' lives is the most rewarding aspect of her profession. Abigail's care philosophy emphasizes treating patients of all races, genders, sexual orientations, income levels, and religions with respect and a comprehensive approach. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her husband and kids.
