Dr. Alexander Ropper is an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and the Director of Spinal Neurosurgery at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. Dr. Ropper’s clinical interests include minimally invasive and complex spine surgery, adult spinal deformity, scoliosis surgery, artificial disc replacement, spine tumor surgery, and spinal surgery.
Dr. Ropper received a B.A. in Neuroscience and Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Internship at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and his Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. He also held a Clinical Fellowship in Complex Spine Surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Ropper has received numerous awards and professional accolades, and was included in SpineLine's Top 20 Under 40 in 2019, presented by the North American Spine Society to showcase bright, young physicians under the age of 40.
