Andrea Humphrey (CNM) is a Doctorate prepared Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife who is passionate about accessible health and wellness, childbirth, and reproductive justice. She has a holistic approach to mental and physical health. Andrea studied Midwifery at the University of Washington in Seattle.Andrea is dedicated to having open conversations about women's bodies and health, ensuring that her patients are supported, informed, and comfortable about their care. In addition to prenatal care and birth, she specializes in annual exams, birth control options, STI screenings, LGBTQI health, gynecological problems, and menopausal care. She practices evidence-based care and keeps up with current policies around reproductive rights.Andrea has served three years as a nurse in international humanitarian relief in Africa with Doctors Without Borders.Stationed in Togo and South Sudan, Andrea's major focus was on improving outcomes for womxn's health and midwifery care in rural and resource-limited environments.Andrea was born in London, England, and grew up in California. She loves Santa Cruz and enjoys being an integral part of the community. She enjoys surfing, forest hiking, music, and cooking with friends.
