Barrington Murrell, DO, is a general surgeon who is personable, friendly, thoroughly informative and dedicated to offering  high-quality surgical care. He offers minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic and robotic) for gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), inguinal hernias, paraesophageal hernias/hiatal hernias and gallbladder disease, along with complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

Dr. Murrell strives to establish a trusting relationship with his patients. He assists them to be well-informed and to understand all aspects of the surgical management of their condition so that they can make the best decisions for their health. His goal is for his patients to leave his office feeling heard, comfortable with him as their surgeon and empowered to take charge of their health.

Dr. Murrell is a member of the Society of Black Academic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.

Away from work Dr. Murrell enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and being the best husband and father he can be. He also enjoys whitewater rafting, percussion and snowboarding.
