  • Professional Education: Dr. Kistler completed his residency training at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma with the Orthopedic Trauma Service at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. There he received additional specialized training in care of fracture healing and surgery. After spending several years providing care to patients in New York State, he has relocated and now serves as the Medical Director of Orthopedic Trauma at Marian Regional Medical Center. As an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon and Fracture Specialist, Dr. Kistler specializes in the care of both adult and pediatric fractures. He cares for a wide range of injuries from those that require inpatient care at our regional trauma center to simple fractures sustained while playing sports or at home that can be cared for in the Stratford Health Center office in Santa Maria. He is currently accepting new patient referrals from San Luis Obispo County and Northern Santa Barbara Counties who are in need of fracture care.
