Caleb D. Thompson, MD, FACC

I completed my residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute in New Orleans.  While at the Scripps Clinic, I completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology as well as a fellowship in Structural Heart Disease and Peripheral Vascular Interventions, receiving an additional year of formal training in transcatheter aortic valve replacement, Watchman left atrial appendage closure, ASD/PFO closure, mitral valve repair, and peripheral vascular interventions.  

I'm a past fellow-in-training member of the Interventional Scientific Council for the American College of Cardiology and a current member of the Interventional Writing Group. I'm also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).  
 

My goal is to provide outstanding cardiovascular care to Bakersfield and the southern San Joaquin Valley.
