Carmel Hensley, APRN, FNP

A board-certified nurse practitioner, Hensley’s areas of interest encompass family health and preventive medicine. A longtime nurse who prioritizes a holistic approach to patient care, she sees patients ages 16 and older at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Primary Care.

Humankindness, Hensley says, “can be something as easy as a smile or a kind word of encouragement.” Her favorite part of her job is getting to know patients and helping them with their health care. Her inspiration comes from within: “I have the heart of a servant. I want to be of service to others and being a caregiver was the best way I knew I could be of service,” she said.

Hensley holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to go seashell hunting and read books.
