Carol M Jia, MD

Carol Jia, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with particular medical interest in diabetes, hypertension and preventive medicine.

Dr. Jia understands that every patient brings with them their own story. In order to understand this story, she takes a collaborative approach to medicine, establishing a comfortable relationship where patients feel heard and understood. Believing that medical decisions should take into account a patient's past experiences, current priorities and future goals, and understanding that patients know their lifestyles and needs the best, Dr. Jia works in partnership with her patients to create the most effective treatment plan. In fact, being part of patient-centered decision-making is what drew her to medicine.

Dr. Jia is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Away from work, she enjoys reading, watercoloring and pet acquisition.
