Chacko Alexander, MD

Dr. Chacko Alexander is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist serving the Woodlands area. He is also board-certified by the National Board of Echocardiography and The American Society of Echocardiography, as well as the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC). He believes in a holistic approach to cardiovascular health, emphasizing not only advanced medical interventions but also lifestyle modifications and patient education to promote long-term well-being.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Alexander was Chief of Cardiology at Texas Tech University Medical Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas. In this vital role, he was instrumental in developing the cardiology program at the Medical School, actively engaging in teaching and research, and shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists. He brings his expertise and compassionate approach to all those he serves, building healthier communities wherever he is.

As a certified interventional cardiologist, Dr. Alexander served as the first Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Memorial Herman-The Woodlands Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the University of Madras, India, and underwent further specialized training in the United Kingdom at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and the University of Wales, where he obtained his Membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). In the U.S., his cardiology fellowship was completed at the University of Missouri, Columbia.
