Charles Anderson, MD

Charles Anderson, MD, is an experienced, board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon fellowship trained in cardiac transplant and mechanical circulatory support. He has worked extensively with the robotic system and started the first robotic cardiothoracic surgery program at Tacoma General Heart Hospital.

Dr. Anderson treats every patient with the same thoughtfulness that he would want someone to show one of his family members. As such, he takes plenty of time talking with his patients, explaining their disease process and treatment options and listening to their fears and concerns. He feels it is vital that his patients go into their procedures with a sense of confidence and calm. Dr. Anderson works hard to earn and maintain the trust not only of his patients, but also of referring physicians.

Dr. Anderson is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Board of Thoracic Surgery, International Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery and Society of Thoracic Surgery.
