Christopher Hoyt, MD

Dr. Christopher Hoyt is a board-certified general surgeon who completed his medical education at New York Medical College, followed by an internship at Madigan Army Medical Center and a residency at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center. His expertise covers a wide range of procedures including diagnostic EGD and colonoscopy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, stomach, intestinal, colon, and rectal surgery, hernia repair, breast surgery, skin and soft tissue procedures, and emergency trauma surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques. Dr. Hoyt treats conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, stomach ulcers, bowel obstruction, colon cancer, various hernias, and breast cancer.

With a commitment to improving health outcomes, Dr. Hoyt joined CommonSpirit Health after a distinguished military career. His approach to care emphasizes educating patients about their diagnosis and overall health, empowering them to make informed decisions and actively participate in their treatment plans. He was awarded a Bronze Star while serving in Iraq in 2007, a Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, and two Navy Achievement Medals for his service, including time with a Provincial Reconstruction Team in Kunar Province, Afghanistan in 2009.
