My focus is on patient-centered care and improving health literacy. Every encounter, I work on setting attainable goals with patients, educating them on why those goals are important, and addressing concerns they may have in regards to that goal. I work by the motto "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", so when a patient comes to see me, I try to empower them to make healthy choices so that they can live longer fulfilling lives. Since I was little, I always found medicine to be so interesting, because every encounter, you're working like a detective to figure out what's going on, but the reward was improving someone's well-being. Also seeing the impact and influence the local doctors in my area had on the community inspired me as well.
