Claire Hicks, APRN

Claire Hicks, APRN, is a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with certifications in RN, TNCC, NIHS, ACLS, BLS, and ANCC, and she is an EPIC Superuser. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in May 2021 and is currently completing her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Northern Kentucky University, graduating in October 2025. Her clinical interests include delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages, rooted in her extensive background in critical care.

Ms. Hicks began her nursing career as a Trauma ICU nurse at the University of Kentucky, a Level I trauma center, gaining invaluable experience in high-acuity settings. This foundation has cultivated her philosophy of patient care, which emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based, and individually tailored approaches. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and collaboration, ensuring they feel supported and valued throughout their health journey. Originally from Nelson County, Ms. Hicks is honored to serve and give back to the community she grew up in, providing the same level of care she would want for her own loved ones.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Hicks enjoys exercising, cooking, being outdoors, watching sports, and spending quality time with her loved ones. These activities provide balance and perspective, reminding her to appreciate the simple joys in life: good health, happiness, and cherished moments with family and friends.
