Care philosophy: Effective patient care requires a partnership between the patient and provider. This means open communication, providing compassionate care and ensuring patients are well educated on their medical conditions so they can reach their health goals. Why I became a medical provider: As an ICU nurse, I saw many instances where patient illnesses could have been prevented. I wanted to have a greater impact in helping patients manage their conditions before they became critically ill and as an NP, I am able to collaborate closely with patients.
