Daniel Shults, DO

Dr. Shults is a board-certified family medicine physician at CHI Memorial Primary Care Associates - Atrium, where he provides compassionate and comprehensive care. From wellness check-ups and sports physicals (for youth 13 and older) to specialized procedures like joint and trigger point injections, skin biopsies, and ingrown toenail treatment, Dr. Shults is committed to helping patients achieve optimal health. He also performs lipoma removals and cryosurgery. A Soddy-Daisy native, Dr. Shults is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) with a degree in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and completed his family medicine residency at Christ Health Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Shults joined CHI Memorial Primary Care Associates – Atrium in November 2024. As an avid runner and weightlifter, Dr. Shults is a strong advocate for healthy living and enjoys helping patients prevent chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. When he's not at work, Dr. Shults enjoys spending quality time with his family.
