David B Cowan, MD

David Cowan, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages. His special medical interests include prevention and treatment of vascular disorders and disorders of the microbiome. Dr. Cowan enjoys following patients over time and treating multiple generations of a family. He listens carefully to the story each patient tells about their symptoms and concerns, then identifies an approach to diagnosis and treatment that works in concert with the body’s own capacity to heal. Dr. Cowan has extensive training in disaster medicine and is a cofounder of the Bainbridge Island Medical Reserve Corps. Dr. Cowan and his family enjoy theater, music, winter sports and cooking.
