Dr. David Paul Martin is an orthopedic surgeon/adult reconstruction specializing in hip and knee replacement at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. Martin’s professional interests include orthopedic surgery, thoracic surgery, and hip and knee replacement.
After earning a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Martin received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and completed his residency there in orthopedic surgery. He also completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Hip & Knee replacement at the University of Wisconsin—Madison; and an AO Trauma Fellowship at the Universitäts Spital Zürich in Zurich, Switzerland, where he received a Bronze Hammer Award, given to an outstanding senior resident as voted on by faculty and residents.
Additionally, Dr. Martin is the recipient of the Michael J. Epstein Wooden Pager Award, given to an outstanding junior resident for professionalism & humanism in orthopedic surgery from the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery,
Dr. Martin is board-eligible certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and holds a Mako Total Hip, Total Knee, and Partial Knee Certification.
In addition to English, Dr. Martin is fluent in Spanish.
